Nadeaud database of the flora of the french Polynesia
The Nadeaud
botanical database contains plant specimens collected in French Polynesia, and deposited mainly in the French Polynesian herbarium (PAP) located in the Musée de Tahiti et des îles, and in some major herbaria in the world (National Museum of Natural History in Paris, Bishop Museum in Honolulu, Smithsonian Institution in Washington, Royal Botanic Gardens in Kew, ...).
Its aim is to manage the herbarium of French Polynesia,
to provide informations on the taxonomy of vascular plants, to produce plant lists according to distribution and conservation criteria with associated images,
to give information on the uses and the vernacular names, and to serve as a decision tool, mainly for conservation purposes.
The Herbarium of French Polynesia (PAP) is currently under the responsability of Véronique Mu-Liepmann, Curator of the natural collections of the Musée de Tahiti et des Iles.

The use of the Nadeaud botanical database is free. The Nadeaud database and its associated website is a work in progress and has been under development for 20 years. Therefore, it has to be cited when used, even partially, for any kind of publications, including research activities, expertises, impact studies and other publications.
